The goal of the Common Core State Standards is to provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers.
The CCLEAR Cadre is a select group of DSEA members who have committed to an in-depth training program whose goal is to provide assistance to all teachers tasked with implementation of the Common Core State Standards.
"CCLEAR" stands for Common Core Leaders Educating and Advocating for Reform. The program is funded through an NEA organizing grant and began to take shape in the Fall of 2013.
