The Delaware State Education Association (DSEA) has announced their endorsement of Stephanie Hansen in the Special Election for the 10th Senate District.
DSEA’s interview committee - comprised of Democrat, Independent, and Republican educators from across the state - questioned both candidates running in this Special Election on a wide array of education and worker's rights issues before issuing their recommendation.
“Stephanie Hansen is an advocate for bringing more resources into our classrooms, and cutting the bureaucratic red-tape in Dover that keeps us from doing so. She supports additional funding and support for special education and children living in poverty. That is exactly what we need in our next State Senator” said DSEA President Frederika Jenner.
“Stephanie’s willingness to listen and her responsiveness to educators, along with her respect of what they do, will make her a great advocate for our members in Legislative Hall” Jenner continued.
The 10th District Senate seat was left vacant by Bethany Hall-Long’s swearing-in as Lieutenant Governor on January 17th. A Special Election date has been set for Saturday, February 25th.
