EMAC Conference

2019 EMAC Leadership Conference

Join us on Saturday, March 9th from 7:45 am - 3:30 pm at the Polytech Adult Education Center for the 9th annual Ethnic and Minority Affairs Committee (EMAC) Leadership Conference, focused on “Strength in Numbers:  Empowerment through Diversity”. 

This conference is open to ALL DSEA members who are looking to expand on and explore hot topics in education (listed below).  We strive for social justice for all and would like you to stand with us.

  • Keeping Students in School:  What Educators Can Do to End the School-to-Prison Pipeline
  • As Tough As We Need to Be
  • Drawing Connections:  Exploring Intersections of Gender, Race & LGBTQ
  • English Learners in the Mainstream:  Beyond Google Translate
  • Teachers as Allies:  Teaching Undocumented Students in Anti-Immigrant Times
