DSEA offers a robust Professional Development curriculum to members, helping them build and improve upon skills that will make them a more effective educator. Courses such as Special Education 101, Educators and the Law, or SMARTBoard Training are a just a few of the diverse learning available to our members.
Assisting members in advocating for their rights as educators is a core principle of DSEA’s mission. This is why we offer a variety of trainings at both the local and state level. Topics such as “Know Your Contract”, “Bargaining 101”, “Association Rep Training”, and “Grievance Training” are just a few of the courses offered throughout the year. These courses are part of the curriculum for DSEA’s annual Winter Advocacy Retreat (held in either January or February of each year) and are also available on a local level.
