Student Loan Forgiveness

Nationally, Americans owe $1.2 trillion in student loans.  Delaware ranks first in the nation in the average amount of debt per college graduate.  The news seems depressing—but there is now a way for public sector employees, like educators, to walk away from student loan debt without making another payment through a federal loan forgiveness program.

Helpful Classroom Hints

New teachers, as well as experienced educators, can benefit from tried and true tips and suggestions for everything from parent-teacher conferencing to acquiring materials to use in the classroom.

Delaware Teacher Center

The Delaware Teacher Center provides educators with free, unlimited access to nine "centers" located throughout the state.  Teachers can visit a center and use the free supplies to put together class projects or materials that will create a more engaging environment.

Mentor Program

New teachers in Delaware will undoubtedly participate in a mentoring program in their district.  The program(s) are overseen by the Department of Education and are intended to help new teachers build the skills and techniques necessary for enjoying a long and productive career.
