My name is Dr. Krissy Patton, and I have been a dedicated educator and member of the Cape Henlopen Education Association for thirteen years. I am running for the Executive Board seat representing Sussex County educators.
As a reading interventionist, I recognize educators' challenges in providing comprehensive support for all students. I am committed to advocating for an improved education funding system, equity initiatives, high-quality professional development, and attracting and retaining the best educators in our state.
I have a proven track record of driving systemic change within my district by establishing educator equity teams to strengthen culturally responsive practices. My active engagement with the community, including discussions with policymakers and volunteer work, underscores my unwavering dedication to our mutual interests.
I am ready to tackle challenges head-on and take action to ensure every teacher feels supported and every child has access to what they need to succeed. Thank you.

Hi! My name is Amanda Meades. I am a Nutrition Assistant who has recognized that many of the issues that impact us nutritional staff on a daily basis are not uncommon among Educational Support Professionals in general. Our roles in the educational system are oftentimes overlooked as merely another “service” of our districts, when in fact we are essential to the learning process. Students are the responsibility of ESPs throughout their school day and are not granted the same dignity, respect, and concern as other professionals. Voting for me would enable me to representa frequently unheard from sector of education. I thank you for your support!

As an Educational Support Professional of twenty plus years at Love Creek Elementary, I, Cynthia Jones a member of the Cape Henlopen Support Staff Association is seeking re-election for The Executive Board seat representing Sussex County. Currently, I serve as the Secretary and Membership Chair for CHSSA, and a Member Organizer for the ESP Bill of Rights Workgroup. I have served on the NEA/RA Elections Committee, DSEA Scholarship and Interview Committee and DSEA/RA Credentials Committee. I, Cynthia Jones, want members to understand the advantages of belonging to the union. We are stronger when we work together. I believe it is important that we try to grow our membership, and I am open to advocating for the necessary adjustments to improve our union. Serving as Sussex County's representative on the Executive Board would be an honor. Thank you for your consideration.

My name is Amy Johnson and I’m running for a two-year term for the DSEA Executive Board. I represented Delaware for the past 2 years and would love finishing the work we’ve started. I believe the children we educate are our existing future leaders and beyond. At the local level, I have served on the negotiation team, ESP Peer Mentoring, EMAC, and currently I am a building representative. At the state level, I sit on the EMAC committee, ESP Bill of Rights, Member Organizer, as well as different task forces, and the executive board. As a former band member, the drumline is the heart of the band; it holds every other instrument together. This stands for our union, we are stronger when we come together as one voice not only for our members but our students and communities.
